What to Expect During a Men’s Health Exam
The men’s health exam includes:
- Discussing your medical history and your family health history
- Recording your vitals including height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure
- Eating habits, physical activity, and any drug/alcohol use
- Discussing your mental health
- Any other topics you wish to discuss

Prostate Cancer Screening
Prostate cancer screening is recommended for men 50 years of age and older. With this screening
Physical Exam
Your provider will conduct a physical exam which includes checking your hair, skin, and nails, as well as examining your eyes, ears, nose, and throat. They’ll also listen to your lungs and heart.
Your provider may also perform a testicular exam. During this exam they are checking each testicle for lumps, tenderness, and changes in size.
Why are Men’s Health Exams Important?
Men’s health exams are an important aspect of preventative health. This is your time to get screening for cancers as well as STD testing. Your provider may refer you for a colonoscopy if you are 50 years of age or older.
